Mandalas...

Hello Dear Stamper Friends:

Here Bibiana ...
and today, I am bringing to you from Lost Coast Designs these NEW set of great Mandalas stamps...

what is a Mandala?
Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning "circle". It is a spiritual and ritual symbol of significance in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe.
From Native American, Tibetan Sandpaintings (tradition involving the creation and destruction of mandalas made from colored sand) to Gothic Rose windows (found on most Christian churches, specially in all the cathedrals in France) and Hindu Yantras (dimensional geometric compositions) mandalas are used as meditation and healing. Mandalas are symbols for protection!

I decided for my card to emboss the different Mandalas with gold embossing powder, cut them and stack some pieces on top of each other.
I paired the card with "the Doodle words" set of words..."wish" and "art"

The "doodle words" set comes in a whole sheet of red rubber stamps, with 8 different words. You can cut each individual word or use the whole sheet as a whole stamp and that is what I did.

I used the set of stamps "doodle words" as a whole background on THIS Chalboard/Zentangle card at my blog and here, for this card, I am using just 2 words out of the whole set ...

Remember for the Facebook fans, LCD has now a Facebook page!

Thank you so much for your kind visit
and have a lovely week-end
and until next time!

Roses

For this card I played with a few new
stamps, Roses and Alphabet.

On the background I stamped with an
embossing folder, Gelatos and water.
Love the effect it's given:

Moon Goddess With Dry Embossed Background

Hello Coasties!
Today I have my second Moon Goddess project. I used dry embossing, spray inks, Distress inks and metallic rubs for my background on this card.

Check out the full post on my blog, Dreaming and Creating, for step by step instructions and more pics. Love this image! Give it a try with your Kaleidacolor pads...really fun!!

Bom-Bom Ain't it Great to be Crazy?

I love crazy stamps, the weirder the better but how do we use them in our everyday cards? Here I will show you how I turned a quirky animal stamp into an appropriate graduation card:

All you need to do is find a tie-in between the stamp you want to use and the event the card is for, in my case I wanted to convey my sentiment of congratulations to my niece who was graduating so balloons convey the congrats and celebration and the grad cap says the rest. It's like math, look for the common denominator that make both elements work. I hope you found this helpful! Here are the stamps I used today from Lost Coast Designs: Pencil Background, Circus Dogs and Isle of Aud Animals. Now go get your weird on and as always happy crafting!

Moon Goddess in Shades of Blue

Hi Coasties,
How about a little lunar madness today??!! The Moon Goddess , one of Lost Coast Designs new images, works so well with a Kaleidacolor ink pad. I know we all have one in our stashes...... I used a pad with shades of blue. Take a look.

I used Liquid Pearls to add depth and a bit of texture. I even added some to the ribbon--just let it dry well before handling.

For more pics and instructions, check out the full post on my blog, Dreaming and Creating. Hope you are having a great artistic day.

I stained and stamped the sides too and stamped sections of the floral part of the Picado Skull image. I used a black Sharpie marker to edge all of the game pieces edges including all the corners. I sealed all the pieces with a couple of coats of Krylon Artist's Workable Fixative spray and then applied Judikins Diamond Glaze to all the surfaces leaving the black eye and nose sockets to create wicked dimension.

I used pre-drilled dominoes for the earrings from Tall Mouse and attached the skull charms and earring findings with wire. The Rummy tile is too thin to drill through so I glued the wire to the back of the piece with E6000 glue. The pendant is hung on a really cool rubbery black cord with a built in closure!

See you again for Day 2's project by DominoARTist Val S on May 3rd!

Domino Hugs!

<img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54489/254/9AFD466AE40CCD33680157083652C26C.png" style="background: transparent;
